I can't imagine what could be the problem there. But the fileutils bug list is probably not the place to get information on your problem since you are not using any of the fileutils. Sorry, wrong list. I suggest one of the news groups such as comp.os.linux.misc might be better since you have not figured out what the problem is yet. That is the best I can suggest.
