for example, after running
cp -lraf linux-2.6.6 linux-2.6.6-cy
the files linux-2.6.6/CREDITS and linux-2.6.6-cy/CREDITS are still different, not the same inode.
it overwrites when running on a single fille. But cannot overwrite on tree.
