Please update the ChangeLog; it's a convention used by most GNU tools.
The format looks like this:
Timestamp Yourname <email address>
<TAB>* filename (function1): what I changed in function1
(function2): what I changed in function2
<TAB>* filename2 (function3): logically related change to the other
file
<NEWLINE>
<TAB>* filename3 (function4): this is a logically separate change
