As discovered in bug #15384:
oldfind dies with assertion failure when invoked in a directory that has been
rendered inaccessible, as of this patch:

$ mkdir /tmp/a/b
$ cd /tmp/a/b
$ chmod a-rx /tmp/a
$ oldfind
assertion "starting_desc >= 0" failed: file
