Good, let's go ahead. I'm sure there will be code that "make syntax-check" doesn't like (for example, whitespace at the ends of lines I'd assume). So I'm sure we'll need to adopt some kind of phased approach. I'm happy to do a significant share of that kind of work. However, if you're willing I'd be happy for you to do the submodule change, since you've clearly done it before. James.
