While waiting, you can use my rawhide (rh) program (raf.org/rawhide) which lets you search by extended attributes (names and values). It supports extended attributes on Linux, FreeBSD, macOS, Solaris, and Cygwin. The JSON output (-j) for the latest released version (3.3) includes the encoded extended attributes text that is used for searching (but with newlines replaced with commas). The upcoming version (4.0) replaces that with a structured JSON object where all of the extended attribute names and values are separate strings (possibly encoded). cheers, raf
