bug in gdb

I had built your debugger at SunOS 5.6 (sparc, Ultra-2) for a m68k target
and found the next bug: 

'ptype' and 'whatis' commands returning '<variable (not text or data), no
debug info>'

(I believe that your dynamic tables are not being initialized properly for
m68k)

The problem disappears after running 'info var valid_var_name' and in
-readnow mode. 

Please let me know if and how can I get a fix
