i have fresh install of cygwin ie 1.1.2
make3.79 ie latest from sourceware.cygnus.com
when i tried gdb it complained
c:/cygwin/bin/gdb.exe not found
so i downloaded the source gdb-20000606-src.tar.gz
and compiled with prefix=/usr
and install it
now gdb dies silently, no message ,
nothing
i also compiled the same source for
--target=powerpc-linux
and installed in /usr/local
powerpc-linux-gdb gives error
Could not find Iwidgets libraries.
Got vameofexec
c:\CYGWIN\USR\LOCAL\BIN\POWERPC-LINUX-GDB.EXE
Errors were:
can't find package Iwidgets 3.0
Could not find in-place versions of Iwidgets
files
Looked at
C:/CYGWIN/USR/LOCAL/itcl/iwidgets
and
C:/CYGWIN/USR/LOCAL/BIN/itcl/iwidgets
