Rainer,

It seems to me that at least
ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/gdb/snapshots/gdb+dejagnu-20010605.tar.bz2
doesn't support Tru64 UNIX V5.1 either, ie. the compiler complains about
the same things.

Do you have any better knowledge on that?
