put in a "Y" here and at least you can debug your application.   However, you will 
still be unable to analyze a core but at least the step/break etc seem to work o.k.

there is also the possibility of useing ladebug as explained in these posts 
(comp.unix.tru64):

I am still trying to locate and get to work that unlicensed version of ladebug or that 
distribution disk with gdb
