本届展会规模较大,现有700多家企业参展、展览面积30000M、展位1500个。于8月3日-6日在广州中国出口商品交易会展馆举办。
展览期间预计来自欧洲、美洲、亚洲、非洲、香港、台湾、澳门等45个国家与地区的海外买家
1623人次，国内参观人士53172人次。内销外销成交额将十分可观。已成为亚洲地区最大规模国际照明展。
据主办单位广州光亚展览贸易有限公司初步统计，今年展位参展商已预定近万平方米，最大展位达到了400平方米。
展会期间主办单位邀请了31个国家驻广州领事馆商务人员及香港、台湾、澳门贸易机构与海外60多个国家、海外买家6831家参观展会。他们都向自己国内及地区传递"广州国际照明展览会"盛况。许多海外买家纷纷来电咨询今年照明展情况，以便参观。

Introduction
2001 6th Guangzhou
International illumination Exhibition was held in Chinese Export Commodities
Fair on Aug 3-6,2001. With 18000㎡ exhibition area and 786 boothes, it
proves to be the largest and most successful lighting fair in Asia. 512
manufacturers and suppliers of which 97 come from 16 overseas countries/regions
including Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, USA, Japan, Singapore as well
as the Hongkong, Taiwan and Macau regions displayed their latest products.
53172 professional visitors from all over the world attended this lighting
fair. With the accession to WTO, the lighting market of China, which is
the largest produce and export base of lighting in the world, is becoming
the most important forum of lighting products.
The annual international
illumination exhibition in Guangzhou is very well known and gaining more
and more world wide participation.
