Hi! I help out with Homebrew maintenance on occasion, and a Homebrew user just added SQLite support to the `global` formula: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/pull/81424
Because Homebrew generally doesn't use vendored dependencies, and especially since the SQLite version embedded in `global` is very old, I devised a patch that allows building with either vendored or external SQLite, and it passes Homebrew's own tests cleanly.
