Such tool is quite simple to make, however I would have defined the order of board points the other way.
With some few files I have derived from GNU Backgammon, I where able to make such tool in about five minutes. I'll post the details later, since it's still easy to make it crash, like putting in a board of more than 15 checkers etc. OK? -Øystein >-----Original Message----- >From: [email protected] >[mailto:[email protected]] On >Behalf Of rambiz khalili >Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 2009 2:02 PM >To: Christian Anthon >Cc: Ian Shaw; [email protected] >Subject: Re: [Bug-gnubg] bearoff database > >hi again, >well, in terms of input and output, what i want is to put in >the positions of the two players and get out the winning >probability for the player on roll. a typical line of the >ascii file i'm looking for, runs like this: > >440231 552210 0.847 >440231 meaning 4 checkers on the 6 point, 4 checkers on the 5 >point, gap on 4, 2 on the 3 point etc. >likewise 552210 means: 5 checkers on the 6 and 5 point each, etc. >and finally 0.847 shall be the winning probability for the >first player (440231). >regards >rambiz > ------------------------------------------------------------------- The information contained in this message may be CONFIDENTIAL and is intended for the addressee only.
