This is probably a GTK issue and you are probably out of luck there, see for example this forum thread: http://www.gtkforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=178 Theoretically, GNUBG should run with GTK+ 2.6, and GTK+ 2.6 should still run on Windows ME. But trying to set up a build environment on Windows for those old library versions will be a major nightmare. Not only that old GTK version will be needed. You also have to find old versions of many other libraries (Cairo, Pango, GLib, ...), because the recent ones are not compatible with GTK+ 2.6. Sorry for not being able to help you!
