I have downloaded and installed gnubg-1_04_000-mac-1010-x86_64.dmg (from http://files.gnubg.org/media/macos/) on Mojave and it works. Are there any more recent builds for the Mac that I can test? @Sidney: GNUbg is unsigned software, and Mac OS refuses to open it until you register it as an exception at System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General. Are you aware of that and did you allow opening the app there? If not, google for “mac os install unsigned app”. You will find for example https://www.macworld.com/article/3140183/macs/how-to-install-an-app-in-macos-sierra-thats-not-signed-by-a-developer.html Otherwise, please open a terminal window (CMD-Spacebare and type Terminal.app), and then type at the prompt: /Applications/gnubg.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/gnubg.x11 Please post the output here so that we can try to diagnose your problem. By the way, the version from MacPorts also works here. It is a 1.05_002. Good luck!
