Yes. IMO it is a problem with path length and Mac OS X obviously not checking which pathname length the new subdirectory will have and whether it's in the system's limits. Years ago I made experiments with shorter and longer subdirectory names and also started to run configure from a directory whose name was increased character by character. There were situations in which the last subdirectory created could be removed by configure. This problem not only happens on Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, but also on Mac OS X 10.4, Tiger. > Is Mac OS X 10.5.8 still a supported target for gnulib? The documentation at https://www.gnu.org/software/gnulib/manual/gnulib.html#Formerly-Supported-Platforms lists • Mac OS X 10.4 and older. so Leopard should still be supported today. -- Greetings Pete This signature is currently under construction.
