It certainly does seem like it's a WindowMaker issue.   However, given that
most people who use GNUstep use it with WindowMaker, I believe that we should
put a kludge in until the WindowMaker team fixes whatever the problem is on
their side.

I don't know the WindowMaker code well enough to know where to start looking
for the problem, so if someone has some idea of where the issue might be,
please submit a patch to them for it.
