Follow-up Comment #1, bug #25524 (project gnustep): Hi Lucas
great to see about MidnightBSD. Looks like a very cool project. :-) Since it's a fork of FreeBSD, would it be more efficient to just use the FreeBSD compile/link flags ? As a comparison, there are millions of Linux distributions and all of them are classified as linux and use exactly the same compile/link commands. That's quite efficient. Anyway, if MidnightBSD needs special/different compile/link flags, obviously we need to account for that. Otherwise it could fall under the freebsd category ? [I understand there might be a "political" issue in that you want to distinguish yourself from FreeBSD but it's unlikely that real users will actually ever know or care about what os name is used by gnustep-make to pick up compilation flags ;-)] Thanks _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?25524> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-gnustep mailing list Bug-gnustep@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnustep
