Follow-up Comment #1, bug #38859 (project gnustep):
the following entries in Makefile.preamble used to link this with the
appropriate linker command line for the platform, figuring out whats gone awry
there would be the right place to start
ADDITIONAL_NATIVE_LIBS += EOControl
ADDITIONAL_NATIVE_LIB_DIRS+=../EOControl
