Yes, the test release seems to work well, so I will hopefully do the final release in this weekend. I already updated the .deb package. That problem is not caused by Icecat/Firefox itself, but it is caused by addons that are not updated with this new version. Why do you think it is a privacy issue? No personal data is sent and moreover it is sent only when the user agrees on it so I really don't see anything bad with it.
