They are both from Jakub Jelinek, and were not logged via Bugzilla.
The grep-2.5.1-w.patch patch fixes the failures highlighted by the
grep-2.5.1-tests.patch patch.

Thanks for that info. I have annotated the grep-2.5.1-w.patch patch issue (#3809).

Does Jakub Jelinek have a GNU copyright assignment or disclaimer for Grep? (If he works for Red Hat, I'll assume he's covered.)
