Here is what i'm looking to do, I have a number of files that read like such:
<td class="align_left"><!--jp_14--> /viewprofile/index/314237 jp_14 </td> So i made a search string in baregrep that looked like this character_name_...... and it gave me all the results I wanted, but when I go to export it gives me the full line every time. All I want to do is export the numbers after the words character_name_ and before "> is this possible? thanks if you can help. Do I need to try different software? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Is-it-possible-to-export-just-the-wildcard-portion-of-a-string--tp22753205p22753205.html Sent from the Gnu - Grep mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
