I am unable to get the macro eqn to work under groff. The problem is explained with the attached short example.
As the example explains I am using groff v 1.19.2 on a MAC workbook. Much appreciate any help you can give me. Charles (Jim) Bridgman 7262 Natoma Pl. Dayton OH 45424 937-233-4583

.TL SAMPLE PROGRAM .PP This example program illustrates the problem I am having with the preprocessor 'eqn'. Basic groff seems to work and the macro '-ms' seems to work, but not eqn, either for in-line equations, such as $F = ma$ or for equaiions set off with .EQ/.EN, such as .EQ F = m sub j a sup k .EN .PP I am using groff v 1.19.2 on a MAC workbook. .PP I suspect that I might be using the command line incorrectly. I am using groff -ms example.txt > example.ps. I get no error messages with this command. I have tried every permutation of the command that I can think of, all without success. This has included the extension -e in various positions in the command. .PP I have used troff successfully under unix on a SUN and more recently groff under Linux on a PC. I am new to the MAC.
