The 'info' documentation for groff version 1.22.3 says:
-- Escape: \D'command arg ...'
. . .
'\D'l DX DY''
Draw a line from the current location to the
relative point specified by (DX,DY), where positive
values mean down and right, respectively.
I think that should say "right and down" not "down and right".
In other words, DX is rifht-left offset, and DY is down-up offset
