I've just read the answer from the maintainer of gnulib http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnulib/2016-11/msg00079.html, could you please propose him the new patch attached here? I'm not registered to gnulib bug mailing list and they don't have any bug tracker (and the button "reply to" doesn't do anything for me).
