Thank you for the report, Graham.

As Bjarni noted, unfortunately we have had to withdraw support for groffer,
and it will not appear in the forthcoming groff 1.23.0 release.  Its author
has not been active as a groff developer for some years, and no one else on
the team is willing to maintain it.

The components that groffer invokes as part of your test case, however--the
groff and troff executables, the ms macro package, and the PDF output driver,
are still actively supported, however.

If you can reproduce misbehavior in glyph rendering using those components,
we're interested in bug reports and we have contributors willing to analyze
such issues and fix them if possible.
