Oh, my comment #2 raises two legit issues (I would say) but they're both
irrelevant to the original report.
1. the off-by-one error in diagnostic message line count
2. mom(7) doesn't complain at the user when they try to use the PDF-specific
shaded box extension on a non-PDF device.
Those should be dealt with in other tickets.
