I did point out the italic-correction limitation after an experiment revealed
it to me.  I "pointed out" the kerning issue by quoting long-existing text in
the manual (though the wording, unsurprisingly, has changed since I quoted it
four years ago).  But it is good to repeat this limitation in the .char
section.
