Hi Alexis,
I'm tweaking your patch in two respects:
1. I'm omitting the Vim `fileencoding` settings from Vim modeline. My copy
of Vim "VIM - Vi IMproved 8.2 (2019 Dec 12, compiled Mar 30 2025 03:33:09)"
has no trouble detecting the encoding automatically.
2. I'm killing off the old-style Emacs local variable in the header of
"contrib/mm/examples/LT.se". I've been removing these from _groff_ files
generally.
I'm a little baffled as to how the mmse package has shipped for this long with
such an obvious problem. I guess _groff_'s Swedish mm userbase is small...
