As I understand it, there were two amendments; this was one. The other was to
overturn my proposal to make -e a no-op: you wanted to retain its
functionality, in order to override an -E earlier on the command line (or,
more likely, in an alias or environment variable). Both amendments sound
sensible to me.
Hope Deri stops his DDoS attacks soon and becomes an upstanding savannah
netizen again. Anyone can be rehabilitated :-)
