Why do you need to rewrite everything? If you want to invert a line,
you should just rewrite only the line. This doesn't take long, even at
9600bps.

Before diving yourself into deeper topics, please finish the basic
functionality. Adding commands or adding various terminals support can
be done later. First, it is best to create the infrastructure. Then,
we will be able to discuss things in a more realistic manner...
However, I hope that you would be glad to complete the diskless
patches before working on serial console support so that I could apply
them to CVS. Don't send a huge patch that contains numerous changes,
if possible. Particularly, don't include diskless support and serial
console support in one patch file. Sending many small patches is ok
for me, but a large patch is not good, because I won't apply a patch
as a whole anyway.
