thanks, that bug is fixed.
but now grub does not handle the partition at all:
the partition has mor sectors than bios can handle.
the old grub could handle the partition, and windows
NT can also boot from the disk (windows has the second
partition starting at 4.something GB).
also, after booting into single user mode and running grub,
baskspace gave very strange results: instead of deleting
the last char some random text char appeared as if i had
entered it.
any help ?
