The word "properly" is very subjective. How one thinks something
doesn't work "properly" varies from person to person. So please append
the log produced by "make install". We require "as is"
information. You can collect the log by "make install 2>&1 >make.log",
if you are using a Bourne-compatible shell (like bash).

Unfortunately, I don't know what software Red Hat 5.1 has. Please
tell us what version of make it has. Perhaps you can obtain the
information by "make --version". The information may be relevant.
