First of all, I think we need to look at the config.log file, in order
to find which compilation is failing. You can send it to me, if you
want, to avoid excessive traffic on the list.
Unless someone else from the list has direct experience with Cygwin
or already knows where the problem is :)

PS: please avoid sending two copies of your mail message. The html is
definitely unneeded and exceedingly long. You should configure your mailer
to only send the text version of your messages.
