If this is the policy, I'll do that.

However, I think it makes the changelog less useful than it can be. I
tend to write only the meaning of the change, not the exact actual
change -- this is available from the CVS logs anyways. Thus, if I look
for what has changed, I'm not overwhelmed by excessive (and often
irrelevant) information. That's how I do my own changelogs and I think
it's the way they can be most useful to the users or other developers
(as that is exactly what I'd like to see in the changelogs).

(This is not to ask a change in policy, only to show a different point
of view in changelogs).
