I don't think you understand how this project goes on. The practice
in GRUB is:
1. I create a branch for a release.
2. Gordon maintains it and release it.
3. I then merge the change on the branch with the main trunk.
There is no duplicated work.

I hope that the former will be true, but I don't know, since I'm not
