IIRC, you can enter a menu to select an unusual mode (such as "safe
mode"), if you put a key when Windows boots up. Unfortunately, I don't
remember what the key is, but the key might be F2, F4, or something
similar. See Windows manuals, because Microsoft should provide the
information. (I don't think that is related to GRUB.)
