Yeah, I know. But bad things cannot be removed immediately, merely
because they are bad.

I think that makes it clear that I and you are sitting in different
fields... Because you are an OS distributor, you can control most of
the software programs the user installs, so if you ship your
distribution with a newer kernel, you don't have to care about older
kernels. But I have to do, because many GRUB users still use older
(and buggy) kernels.
