In fact the user base of jfs is not as large as one of e.g. xfs.
And IMHO there are almost no people that are using jfs as a boot partition.
So inclusion in the milestone release can enlarge the user base 
(people do not need to locate the patch somewhere, just download grub)
and gives us more testers of the patch.
I just want to say I'll definitely maintain the patch, no matter the way,
by cvs or by sending diffs to the grub maintainer.
