Hi group,
         I have XP on my primary partition and i had
only two partitions C:and D: now i installed linux in
D: and i used to boot to my linuxbox everytime with a
floppy...today i tried GRUB so the first command i
gave was
grub-install /dev/hda

then i created a file named grub.conf in grub
directory which already had few files the grub.conf i
created was like this
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,1)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title RH7.2J
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7 ro root=/dev/hda2
title WinXP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

then i gave the command grub
at grub i gave root(hd0,1)
setup(hd0)

now when i reboot i get a blue background with a grub>
and when i gave
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7 root=/dev/hda2
and then gave command boot i was able to boot to Linux
without any floppy but what happened to my XP earlier
i used to get in to XP when i boot without floppy now
when i boot it directly goes to grub rather than
XP...i think my MBR got changed ...what shud i do....
