Hello from Gregg C Levine I disagree most strongly. I have here, a Pentium 100Mhz based system, running Linux, Slackware Pre-8.0 in fact. And each time I make up a new kernel, with "make && make install", that series of steps copies that one to the boot locations. In fact each time the system recommends using one of what you suggested, but I go ahead anyway, and use those series of steps. So, something else is wrong with his setup. Which distribution is it? ------------------- Gregg C Levine [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------ "The Force will be with you...Always."
