I don't think there is any workaround for that. Okuji ------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2002-May-29 02:19 By: ilgiz I had a similar problem until I figured out there was a mouse attached to the serial port. Before that discovery I was able to make GRUB run without user interaction by commenting out the following two lines in menu.lst: serial --speed=115200 terminal --timeout=2 console serial Once I disconnected the mouse, GRUB has worked even with the above two lines uncommented. On the issue of disabling serial port completely, there is a --disable-serial option already present in the configure.in file. It *should* turns off the SUPPORT_SERIAL C preprocessor macro by not enabling the SERIAL_SUPPORT automake symbol. I haven't tested that option. Has anyone?
