Title: Message
It would be nice to have a lifetime timeout timer. For example, normally the timeout = x value is fine, but what if i hit ESC during bootup. now it's not going to timeout. ok, if locally on the system, but bad if on a modem. this could happend with line noice from the modem (with serial set for console).

for example,

timeout = 60,500

60 is if no key (ESC is pressed), 360 (boot default, no matter what)

Thanks,
Eric Duda
