Hi all,
I am currently working on the Hurdppc project (http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/hurdppc). One step of the project is to port the OSKit to the powerpc architecture. The port is most done now. Then we will adapt osfmach to use the OSKit. It includes the boot support. So i am going to extend the multiboot standard taking care about ppc specifics. Once we get multiboot images, would be great to use GRUB to load our multiboot Mach kernel. So i assume to port GRUB to ppc is necessary. I am very interested on your comments about: - The multiboot standard for ppc... ¿What would be the better way to extend it? ¿Should all the standard to be reorganized in order to support more than one architecture?... - A GRUB ppc port... ¿some other port has beed done? ¿What parts of the bootloader are affected? ... PD: I am now to this mailing list. Hello all :) -- José E.
