Of course; I'm interested in that feature but it's not a requisite at all it mimics lilo's way of working (And, actualy, it was discussed before that we don't want to skip the menu when in that mode, like LILO does). As for the "run time" issue, what do you mean exactly? The default flag is stored in stage2, so i guess it should be ok to store the onceonly one there, too. Requiring use of the GRUB shell might look less "run time", but one can always script it (I wrote a "grub-reboot" script for the Debian package, similar to what Keir pasted a while ago). > > Btw, there's also a patch that adds a "showdefault" command. > > As you know, we shouldn't accept any patch without any infomation on how it is > useful. I don't really mind about "showdefault", but my impression is that it's useful for debugging. -- Robert Millan "[..] but the delight and pride of Aule is in the deed of making, and in the thing made, and neither in possession nor in his own mastery; wherefore he gives and hoards not, and is free from care, passing ever on to some new work." -- J.R.R.T, Ainulindale (Silmarillion) _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
