Summary: can't detect partitions when using "diskwizard"

Original Submission: I'm using a program provided by my hard disk vendor called "Disk
Wizard". Its installed in the MBR, but it seems that the partition table is hacked
also.

When you boot the computer using the hard disk MBR, it will ask you for a floppy and
boot it. A GRUB floppy will identify a hard disk with partitions normally here.

But, when you boot using a GRUB floppy _directly_, it will be unable to identify the
partition:

grub> root (hd0,1)

Error 22: No such partition

However Linux, the kernel, is able to detect the partition when "diskwizard" is _not_
loaded. This is what is outputs when booting:

[...]

Partition check:

hda: [DM6:DD0] [remap +63] [3649/255/63] hda1 hda2

[...]

Please contact me (Robert Millan <zeratul2 at wanadoo dot es>) for any more
information you need. I can get an image of my MBR if that helps.
