/**************************************************************************/ [bugs #8849] Full Item Snapshot: URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=8849> Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: 0 On: Sun 05/09/04 at 12:16 Category: Booting Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Resolution: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Mohan Khurana Originator Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Status: Open Release: 0.93-4 Reproducibility: None Planned Release: Summary: Grub timeout does not show countdown Original Submission: For some reason grub just leaves me hanging, waiting for me to press enter on bootup to select the kernel. Does anyone know why? I've got a timeout value set, so it should have a countdown, and then boot automatically. If timeout=2, it should just wait 2 seconds, but instead it shows no countdown at all. When I press enter, it goes in properly. This may not be a bug, anyone know what I am doing wrong here? uname -a: Linux burp 2.4.20-27.9 #1 Thu Dec 11 13:22:41 EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux /etc/issue: Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike) Kernel r on an m /etc/grub.conf: # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file # NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition.
