Hi to the maintainers of GRUB. I think it is miles ahead of LILO. Thankyou for improving GRUB. Here follow my menu.lst..as you will see I boot into a lot of stuf over 3 HD's.
Only problem when distro installs it does not correctly configure the WIN OS in the 3rd drive..configure as like in 2nd drive..got to correct as per my menu.lst for win-xp. *********** timeout 10 color black/cyan yellow/cyan default 0 #*************************************************** title NEW Mandrake 10 vmlinuz hde 10 & hde 11 kernel (hd0,9)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hde10 devfs=mount acpi=ht resume=/dev/hde5 splash=silent vga=788 initrd (hd0,9)/boot/initrd.img #********************************************************************** title NEW Suse 9.1 kernel-vmlinuz hdg 5-6-7 kernel (hd1,6)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hdg7 vga=0x314 splash=silent desktop resume=/dev/hde5 showopts initrd (hd1,6)/boot/initrd #********************************* title OLD 9.1 vmlinuz hde 8 & 9 kernel (hd0,7)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hde8 vga=0x314 splash=silent desktop resume=/dev/hde5 showopts initrd (hd0,7)/boot/initrd #************************************************ title windows-xp root (hd2,0) map (hd0) (hd2) map (hd2) (hd0) makeactive chainloader +1 #************************************************ title OLD Mandrake 10.0 vmlinuz hdg-3 - 9 - 10 kernel (hd1,8)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hdg9 devfs=mount acpi=ht resume=/dev/hde5 splash=silent vga=788 initrd (hd1,8)/boot/initrd.img #************************************************ title Dos root (hd0,0) chainloader +1 #************************************************ title windows-98 root (hd1,0) map (0x81) (0x80) map (0x80) (0x81) makeactive chainloader +1 #****************************************************** title floppy root (fd0) chainloader +1 #....................................................................... title 263-13 kernel (hd0,9)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.3-13mdk devfs=mount acpi=ht resume=/dev/hde5 splash=silent vga=788 root=/dev/hde10 initrd (hd0,9)/boot/initrd-2.6.3-13mdk.img #****************************************************************** Thanks -- Johan Sch Registered Linux User #33034 May this be a good day for learning _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
