Summary: cannot specify where to install helper executables Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: roburban Submitted on: Thu 02/10/2005 at 15:54 Category: Configuration Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Feature Request Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Robert Urban Originator Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Open/Closed: Open Release: grub-0.96 Reproducibility: None Planned Release: _______________________________________________________ Details: during configuration it is apparently not possible to specify where helper executables (stage1, stage2, etc) should go, except crudely using PREFIX. They then go into PREFIX/lib/grub/i386-pc. It seems to me, either this should be documented, or configure should allow me to specify that the files should be installed under, for example, /boot/grub, which is hard-coded into grub in some places. _______________________________________________________ This item URL is: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=11922> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
