Details:

There is no information in the documentation on how to get Grub to work with a
hard drive that uses a "dynamic drive overlay" (DDO) program that must reside
in the MBR.

There are many older motherboards out there whose latest BIOS cannot be
upgraded to support the newer drives. As a result, drive manufacturers have
created Dynamic Drive Overlay programs that will augment a BIOS capability to
support their larger drives. There is much confusion on how to use Grub in a
DDO environment. Having documentation mention DDO and how to use Grub in this
environment would avoid the confusion and make Grub more useful.
